Counting down to CNY

Hmmm..think I didn't blog that my New Year was spent rushing DS to KK coz his fever hit 40 degrees. Was so scared that day that me and DH juz rushed DS to KK @ 3am in the morning. Luckily, after a few days, DS is well again and it was so relieved to see him up and running again. It was indeed an unforgettable experience.

Yeah..2 more days to CNY. It's always my fav. festive season since young. The gatherings and good food makes me so happy :) BUT the only minus point..I hope DS will be good to me during this period of time coz now he is so 'sticky' to me and he only wants me and nobody else *faints*. Now at 14mth plus, DS is super naughty, keep throwing his tantrum and sometimes I wonder how to teach him coz I know beating him is not a right method but I really don't know how else can I teach him. Think I have to ask for advise again.

Juz came back from shopping as I need to buy DS shoes..but sad to said boys shoes pattern are so limited compare to gals..Hmmm..boys dun need to wear shoes? How come shoes makers can design so many cute and pretty shoes for gals but boys are so limited! Anyway, decided to get DS a pair of snoopy shoes as most of the shoes there wasn't much choice available. Will let DS try on tomorrow. Hope he is able to wear so that I dun have to go down to change the size. Okie. I'm going to bed but before I sign out, let me wish all " HAPY NEW YEAR & GONG XI FA CAI" Its pics time again..else, I might take another mth before I update again..hahaha =p

Bye bye 2007

A few more hours to go before we we said bye to Year 2007 & usher the Year of 2008. My New Year countdown celebration was fun @ all because DS is sick with fever and even vomitted last night. His temperature shot up to 39.8 tis afternoon. Was so worried that I nearly rushed him to hospital but luckily, fever subsided a bit now. Hopefully, he will be well by tomorrow. Brought him to see doc this morning and his weight is only 8.8kg. Average for his age is abt 9.0 - 9.5 kg. Doc said he is a bit underweight as his birth weight was very good but dun noe why his weight growth is very slow now. Doc recomended that we can let him drink PediaSure to see if there is improvement on his weight growth. Think will let DS try after he is well.

Hmmm...before I forget..let me try to recap DS milestone now that he is 13mth 2 weeks 3 days old..

1) Understand the meaning of throwing, rolling & kicking a ball..

2) Noes how to said more words such ball, duck, dog, H, roll, eyes, up.

3) Finally noes how to drink from a sprout cup. Next I'm going to teach him how to drink from a straw.

4) When asked to dance, he will shake his head..

5) When asked him where's the light, he will look up..

6) Can walked by himself but only for a short distance.

7) Noes how to throw tantrum by lying on the floor and refuse to get up.

Looking at DS different milestone in 2007 has really make me think that a year is gone just likethat. My wish for Year 2008 will be to spend more time with DS, family & friends and that everybody will be happy and healthy.. Happy New Year to all :)

Christmas Celebration

Today is a super tiring day coz after such a long weekend and its back to work..I hope everyone have had a good Christmas this year..Well for us..we did. Prior to Christmas (during Hari Raya Haji) , we have already brought DS to Orchard to see deco and lighting plus we walked all the way from Centerpoint to Tanglin Mall to see those children playing in the fake 'snow'...

On Christmas eve, my sisters & family came over to my hse to have a Christmas feast plus gift exchanged. DS of course enjoyed playing with his cousins and we adults enjoyed the dinner..We had Swensens Ice Cream Cake, pasta (spicy and non spicy), Ham and cheese, Turkey and Chicken soup... After dinner, its gift exchange time..This year, DS received two books from my eldest sis and a Winnie the Pooh tent with 50 balls in it..DS loves playing inside the tent with his cousin. Can see he truly enjoyed himself that day.. Its nice to have such gathering with my sisters as we can catch up with one another and I can chat with them everything and anything under the sun.. More such gatherings in future sisters..

Yesterday, Christmas was spent over at my Sister-In-Law place..They also have a mini gift exchange and DS also received some presents there...But, I haven't upwrapped those pressies yet as DS is not with me now..Shall wait till Fri then let him unwrap those presents himself. Too bad..my present for DS have not arrived yet as I brought some Leap Frog books for him online...

Anyway, now that Christmas is over.must make plans for New Year Celebration :) In case, I do not have the chance to log in to blog..Let me wish you all "Happy New Year and have a wonderful 2008!!"

DS Birthday celebration part 2

Decided to continue to blog on how we celebrate DS actual birthday on the 14th Nov. Actually, I was at that time contemplating whether should I take a day off anot on his birthday as I have just joined a new Co. and did not have many days leave. In the end, still decided to take a day off on that day as I really wanted to spend time with DS.
Woke up early in the morning but it was raining very heavily so sent an sms greeting to Virgo DS as both our boys were born on the same day. I was very dishearted upon seeing the heavy rainpour as I thought that all my plans for that day were going to be cancelled but luckily, the rain stopped at ard 12 plus. So quickly let DS had his lunch and off we set to VivoCity and its the first time that we brought DS to shopping without driving. We took LRT from our hse and then took the NEL train to HabourFront. The journey was quite long and DS was a bit cranky as he did not have his morning nap. Reached VivoCity and just as we stepped into the shopping center, DS felt asleep liao. So me and DH managed to have a peaceful and enjoyable lunch =p
Roamed ard VivoCity for quite a while before we decided to walked over to HabourFront to see see look look. Just then, DS finally woke up from his nap and I saw that there is a Barney kiddy ride nearby so decided to let DS sit and take pic on it. He was so happy playing with the sterring wheel and kept touching Barney's tummy. He was so reluctant to leave that DH got to kept him accompany while I continue my shopping...
Went back over to Vivocity as my plan is to let DS played at the outdoor playground but realised that nothing over there is suitable for his age so told DH that we can perhaps let DS played with water in the outdoor pool instead as it would be more fun for him. Think DS enyoyed it coz he kept wanting to go over the water there even as we left the pool. Too bad, we didn't stayed there for long as we need to go over Compass Point to buy some stuff (But I was so forgetful that I forgotten to buy another cake to bring over to nanny place for the cake cutting session). Anway, DS was so tired that he fell asleep as we were on our way to his nanny place... I really enjoyed myself on that day (coz i had spent a day of quality time with him) and I hope DS have had an enjoyable time too...

I Miss my Blog

As the title says it all..I miss my blog and now finally decided to do my updating coz its been too long since I last log in...Okie..first I want to apologies to all Nov mummies from the forum that I have joined..Reason is...I did not attend any of their darlings birthday celebration. Very paiseh for not attending coz of the late info I've been getting (I haven't been checking my mails for a long time coz Co. blocked all the mails website). Really hope to meet up with them one day coz they are such wonderful mummies and they are always there for me whenever I need advise on any issue. So Nov mummies..when's our nxt gathering huh??

Okie..like I mentioned earlier on..its been too long since I blog so now its recap time so I shall blog abt my son birthday celebration.

Finally, its the day I have been waiting for..its DS birthday celebration!! Woke up earlier than usual coz decided to go to market to buy a drumstick. (This idea was taken from AB blog and decided let DS pick his future career path). Two of my close friends came by in the afternoon and after they left..decided to let DS pick the stuff which I had prepared (Calculator, pen, book, $, drumstick, ruler & scissors). DS picked book out of all the things but I forgotten what it means?? After letting him played for a while, decided to let him nap before guest starts coming in at 6pm (Oh..he was so good boy that day..slept from 3 plus to 5 plus). The buffet was good and think all the guests enjoyed it. Cut cake at ard 8plus and the cake was yummy. I have order 2 tier cake Sesame Street cake with Lychee Martini on top and chocolate below. Guest left at ard 10 plus and by then DS was so tired already that he fell asleep while drinking his milk. So happy that my DS seems to enjoy his big day. Sorry ppl..my laptop seems to have a bit of problem..so now can only share two pics for that day..

2 more days to the celebration

I'm super tired now but I miss my blog so much and I better do some updates else my readers will not pop by to read in future..hahaha. Yeah..will be having a mini celebration at my hse tis coming Sat for DS 1st birthday. Invited my family and friends over to join in the fun..I still don't know what else to I need to prepare except to clean and tidy up my super messy hse. So excited abt it :)

Now at 11mths plus..let me recall some of the milestone that DS have achieved..

- Can walk a few steps liao (max. abt 5)

- Know how to wave bye bye when asked to and also said bye bye

- First word beside the babbling of mama, papa, mum-mum etc is "CLOCK"

- When I said "No No", he will at times shook his head

- Clap his hand when he see ppl doing that

- Can watch his fav. cartoon, "The Wheel on The Bus" for a long time without moving or even blinking his eyes..hahaha

- Know how to open the cupboard and pull things out

- Will make angry face when we asked him to

- When we point at things, he will move his eyes to that pointed direction

Can's wait to see more of his progress and sometimes seeing my boy grow up day by day makes me have the thought to have another baby and start the wonderful process all over again..But such things cannot be rushed coz its a long term commitment. Well, for now..I will just give all my love and time to my DS who will soon be no longer qualified under the baby category but in my heart...he will always be my little baby boy...

Updates....

Finally..got a chance to update my blog...So many things to update but duno where to start from..Hahaha. Hmmm..as you all know..I juz changed my job..the new working environment is not bad as my department colleague are very nice to me..But what I dun really enjoyed or rather adapt to.. is the workload and the amount of stress level it can get. Maybe all along, I have been working in local co. and this is my first time working in a MNC company..so I think the pace is something I will have to learn to cope. But the sweet thing is..my department celebrated my birthday last fri and my colleague even called me up on Sat afternoon to wish me Happy Birthday.
Anyway, nothing happening on my birthday..wanted to go to Serangoon Garden there for dinner celebration but weather was not good..so we juz went to Compass Point to have dinner and DH brought me a mango cake. Errrr...haven't decided what I want for my present so DH still owed me a present :) Shopped ard Compass Point as I still haven't decide what cake to get for DS for his birthday. How fast..he's turning ONE soon..I miss his baby days but at the same time..look forward to see him grow..How contradicting I am..Hahaha.
Well..we just came back from J8 and initially we wanted to go to Ding Tai Fong for lunch..but see the queue outside makes me so sian liao. So DH & I had our lunch at Swenson instead. Lunch was great and the best part was..DS was very well behaved compared to yesterday night when we brought him to Compass Point for dinner. He even gave Hi-Five to one of the waitress there... Such a darling at times...
So fast..weekend is abt to end soon and tomorrow is back to work again... Can't wait for the next weekend..
