Finally, its DS fist day to school on 02/01/09 (Friday). I tool a day leave to accompany him to the orientation. At first, I was worried that he would not wake up on time as he had slept quite late the previous night. Atlas, I was wrong, DS woke up at 8.30am (even earlier than his usual timing), so I told DH jokingly that DS couldn’t sleep well as he was too excited to go school (I remembered I used to be very excited on my first day of school). Got him prepared by packing his bag with pencil box, colour pencil etc and we left the house at 10.55am as school starts at 11.15am and we sure wouldn’t want to be late on his first day. However, the moment we stepped out of our house, it started to drizzle so DH got to go back home to bring the umbrella.
When we reached the school, we were about 2mins earlier so we have to loiter around the area but the teacher soon welcome us in to the classroom. The classroom was very small but since the class size was small, it was still ok (max 15 students). At first, DS was very scared to mix around and he refused to let go of me but luckily, there was some lego lying around so me and DH coaxed him down to play and soon he began to warm up. The teacher. Teacher Ada, brief us on some information that we should know and then we went on to purchase the school uniform. I brought 2 sets for DS and after we purchased, the teacher said we could go home already, as class will only start on Monday. We will see how DS will react on Monday again as I will also be on leave to accompany him to school. Pics will be posted up soon..
