Bye bye 2007

A few more hours to go before we we said bye to Year 2007 & usher the Year of 2008. My New Year countdown celebration was fun @ all because DS is sick with fever and even vomitted last night. His temperature shot up to 39.8 tis afternoon. Was so worried that I nearly rushed him to hospital but luckily, fever subsided a bit now. Hopefully, he will be well by tomorrow. Brought him to see doc this morning and his weight is only 8.8kg. Average for his age is abt 9.0 - 9.5 kg. Doc said he is a bit underweight as his birth weight was very good but dun noe why his weight growth is very slow now. Doc recomended that we can let him drink PediaSure to see if there is improvement on his weight growth. Think will let DS try after he is well.

Hmmm...before I forget..let me try to recap DS milestone now that he is 13mth 2 weeks 3 days old..

1) Understand the meaning of throwing, rolling & kicking a ball..

2) Noes how to said more words such ball, duck, dog, H, roll, eyes, up.

3) Finally noes how to drink from a sprout cup. Next I'm going to teach him how to drink from a straw.

4) When asked to dance, he will shake his head..

5) When asked him where's the light, he will look up..

6) Can walked by himself but only for a short distance.

7) Noes how to throw tantrum by lying on the floor and refuse to get up.

Looking at DS different milestone in 2007 has really make me think that a year is gone just likethat. My wish for Year 2008 will be to spend more time with DS, family & friends and that everybody will be happy and healthy.. Happy New Year to all :)

Christmas Celebration

Today is a super tiring day coz after such a long weekend and its back to work..I hope everyone have had a good Christmas this year..Well for us..we did. Prior to Christmas (during Hari Raya Haji) , we have already brought DS to Orchard to see deco and lighting plus we walked all the way from Centerpoint to Tanglin Mall to see those children playing in the fake 'snow'...

On Christmas eve, my sisters & family came over to my hse to have a Christmas feast plus gift exchanged. DS of course enjoyed playing with his cousins and we adults enjoyed the dinner..We had Swensens Ice Cream Cake, pasta (spicy and non spicy), Ham and cheese, Turkey and Chicken soup... After dinner, its gift exchange time..This year, DS received two books from my eldest sis and a Winnie the Pooh tent with 50 balls in it..DS loves playing inside the tent with his cousin. Can see he truly enjoyed himself that day.. Its nice to have such gathering with my sisters as we can catch up with one another and I can chat with them everything and anything under the sun.. More such gatherings in future sisters..

Yesterday, Christmas was spent over at my Sister-In-Law place..They also have a mini gift exchange and DS also received some presents there...But, I haven't upwrapped those pressies yet as DS is not with me now..Shall wait till Fri then let him unwrap those presents himself. Too bad..my present for DS have not arrived yet as I brought some Leap Frog books for him online...

Anyway, now that Christmas is over.must make plans for New Year Celebration :) In case, I do not have the chance to log in to blog..Let me wish you all "Happy New Year and have a wonderful 2008!!"

DS Birthday celebration part 2

Decided to continue to blog on how we celebrate DS actual birthday on the 14th Nov. Actually, I was at that time contemplating whether should I take a day off anot on his birthday as I have just joined a new Co. and did not have many days leave. In the end, still decided to take a day off on that day as I really wanted to spend time with DS.
Woke up early in the morning but it was raining very heavily so sent an sms greeting to Virgo DS as both our boys were born on the same day. I was very dishearted upon seeing the heavy rainpour as I thought that all my plans for that day were going to be cancelled but luckily, the rain stopped at ard 12 plus. So quickly let DS had his lunch and off we set to VivoCity and its the first time that we brought DS to shopping without driving. We took LRT from our hse and then took the NEL train to HabourFront. The journey was quite long and DS was a bit cranky as he did not have his morning nap. Reached VivoCity and just as we stepped into the shopping center, DS felt asleep liao. So me and DH managed to have a peaceful and enjoyable lunch =p
Roamed ard VivoCity for quite a while before we decided to walked over to HabourFront to see see look look. Just then, DS finally woke up from his nap and I saw that there is a Barney kiddy ride nearby so decided to let DS sit and take pic on it. He was so happy playing with the sterring wheel and kept touching Barney's tummy. He was so reluctant to leave that DH got to kept him accompany while I continue my shopping...
Went back over to Vivocity as my plan is to let DS played at the outdoor playground but realised that nothing over there is suitable for his age so told DH that we can perhaps let DS played with water in the outdoor pool instead as it would be more fun for him. Think DS enyoyed it coz he kept wanting to go over the water there even as we left the pool. Too bad, we didn't stayed there for long as we need to go over Compass Point to buy some stuff (But I was so forgetful that I forgotten to buy another cake to bring over to nanny place for the cake cutting session). Anway, DS was so tired that he fell asleep as we were on our way to his nanny place... I really enjoyed myself on that day (coz i had spent a day of quality time with him) and I hope DS have had an enjoyable time too...

I Miss my Blog

As the title says it all..I miss my blog and now finally decided to do my updating coz its been too long since I last log in...Okie..first I want to apologies to all Nov mummies from the forum that I have joined..Reason is...I did not attend any of their darlings birthday celebration. Very paiseh for not attending coz of the late info I've been getting (I haven't been checking my mails for a long time coz Co. blocked all the mails website). Really hope to meet up with them one day coz they are such wonderful mummies and they are always there for me whenever I need advise on any issue. So Nov mummies..when's our nxt gathering huh??

Okie..like I mentioned earlier on..its been too long since I blog so now its recap time so I shall blog abt my son birthday celebration.

Finally, its the day I have been waiting for..its DS birthday celebration!! Woke up earlier than usual coz decided to go to market to buy a drumstick. (This idea was taken from AB blog and decided let DS pick his future career path). Two of my close friends came by in the afternoon and after they left..decided to let DS pick the stuff which I had prepared (Calculator, pen, book, $, drumstick, ruler & scissors). DS picked book out of all the things but I forgotten what it means?? After letting him played for a while, decided to let him nap before guest starts coming in at 6pm (Oh..he was so good boy that day..slept from 3 plus to 5 plus). The buffet was good and think all the guests enjoyed it. Cut cake at ard 8plus and the cake was yummy. I have order 2 tier cake Sesame Street cake with Lychee Martini on top and chocolate below. Guest left at ard 10 plus and by then DS was so tired already that he fell asleep while drinking his milk. So happy that my DS seems to enjoy his big day. Sorry ppl..my laptop seems to have a bit of problem..so now can only share two pics for that day..

2 more days to the celebration

I'm super tired now but I miss my blog so much and I better do some updates else my readers will not pop by to read in future..hahaha. Yeah..will be having a mini celebration at my hse tis coming Sat for DS 1st birthday. Invited my family and friends over to join in the fun..I still don't know what else to I need to prepare except to clean and tidy up my super messy hse. So excited abt it :)

Now at 11mths plus..let me recall some of the milestone that DS have achieved..

- Can walk a few steps liao (max. abt 5)

- Know how to wave bye bye when asked to and also said bye bye

- First word beside the babbling of mama, papa, mum-mum etc is "CLOCK"

- When I said "No No", he will at times shook his head

- Clap his hand when he see ppl doing that

- Can watch his fav. cartoon, "The Wheel on The Bus" for a long time without moving or even blinking his eyes..hahaha

- Know how to open the cupboard and pull things out

- Will make angry face when we asked him to

- When we point at things, he will move his eyes to that pointed direction

Can's wait to see more of his progress and sometimes seeing my boy grow up day by day makes me have the thought to have another baby and start the wonderful process all over again..But such things cannot be rushed coz its a long term commitment. Well, for now..I will just give all my love and time to my DS who will soon be no longer qualified under the baby category but in my heart...he will always be my little baby boy...

Updates....

Finally..got a chance to update my blog...So many things to update but duno where to start from..Hahaha. Hmmm..as you all know..I juz changed my job..the new working environment is not bad as my department colleague are very nice to me..But what I dun really enjoyed or rather adapt to.. is the workload and the amount of stress level it can get. Maybe all along, I have been working in local co. and this is my first time working in a MNC company..so I think the pace is something I will have to learn to cope. But the sweet thing is..my department celebrated my birthday last fri and my colleague even called me up on Sat afternoon to wish me Happy Birthday.
Anyway, nothing happening on my birthday..wanted to go to Serangoon Garden there for dinner celebration but weather was not good..so we juz went to Compass Point to have dinner and DH brought me a mango cake. Errrr...haven't decided what I want for my present so DH still owed me a present :) Shopped ard Compass Point as I still haven't decide what cake to get for DS for his birthday. How fast..he's turning ONE soon..I miss his baby days but at the same time..look forward to see him grow..How contradicting I am..Hahaha.
Well..we just came back from J8 and initially we wanted to go to Ding Tai Fong for lunch..but see the queue outside makes me so sian liao. So DH & I had our lunch at Swenson instead. Lunch was great and the best part was..DS was very well behaved compared to yesterday night when we brought him to Compass Point for dinner. He even gave Hi-Five to one of the waitress there... Such a darling at times...
So fast..weekend is abt to end soon and tomorrow is back to work again... Can't wait for the next weekend..

I love Japanese Food..

Went to Serangoon Garden Sushi Tei for a delicious farewell lunch. My two male colleagues were so nice to give me a treat. First time I have been there and I really love the food and ambience there. I think I will try to bring my DH there too but he’s not really a Japanese food lover. Anyway, look at what we have..

Goodbye....

Today is my last day at work with this small local company. I’ve been here for 7 years and that’s why maybe I’ve got the ‘7 years itch’ that lead me on to find my greener pasture. This co. have witness several milestone of mine such as me turning 21, getting married & of course having my DS. I’m feeling kind of sad but at the same time quite look forward to a new beginning. I don’t know if I had make the right move but nevertheless, there is no turning back now. I’m glad I’ve got a supportive husband plus my sisters to count on. Also, I think I will not have any more chance & time to update my blog so frequently liao plus no more msn and visiting of my favourite forum (which I have get to known some great mummies there). But think all this are some minor sacrifices that I will have to accept. Lastly, thank you people for popping by my blog and if there’s any chance..I will definitely try to update my blog. So stayed tune =p

Busy afternoon...

I took ½ day leave to go to ICA Building to collect my new Biometric Passport. Was told that the waiting time is a killer there, so I actually went there well equipped with a magazine, fruits & fruit juice. Waited for an hour plus and after everything was settled, decided to take a train to Bugis Junction for my shopping therapy. After a few hours there..brought a pair of swimming goggles, care bear training cup which have soft spout for DS , Ariel drinking cup with straw for my niece, DKNY watch for cousin birthday, clothes for DS. DH came over after work to find me and we then crossed over to Bugis street. Lots of nice and affordable clothes there..Really love shopping there but still got a few days more then pay day..so dare not anyhow splurge. Brought myself a grey cardigan & a brown top there and after that we proceed to OG for more shopping. DH brought a pair of Oshkosh shoes for DS.
After all the walking, decided to settle our dinner at the hawker center and we ordered the Famous Waterloo Chicken Rice..It was very delicious lor and after the very filling dinner, we saw that the Fried Carrot cake looked delicious too..So DH went to queue and tar bao back as supper. Crossed over to Sim Lim as DH is still looking for his flat screen monitor but most of the shops were already closed for the day. Because we wanted to take the NEL train back to Sengkang, the nearest train station would be at Little India. Went over to Tekka Market to buy a bit of groceries before taking the train back home.

White shirt found..

DS woke us up at ard 7plus for his morning feed. After his feed..we brought him to the market as I wanted to do some marketing plus to buy breakfast for the DH niece & BF. We had our usual breakfast and so did DS (normally I will just buy a bao for him). Went back & started preparation for DS lunch. First time I brought the cod fish for DS. Me nearly puked coz I really dislike fishy smell but for DS no choice.. Got to try and tahan a bit. DS by then was feeling grouchy as he wanted to take his morning nap but when he saw DS niece..he wanted to play with her lor..So no matter how hard I tried..couldn’t get him to sleep. So let him watch “The Wheel On The Bus” VCD which I brought for him recently and he really loves it lor..His eyes was liked glued to the TV and can see that he enjoyed watching the VCD very much.
After DS nap & lunch time, we went over to my elder sister place to collect things from her and at the same time, she had offered to help me baby-sit DS, while me & DH can go over to causeway point to shop. After round of endless shopping for a white shirt..Finally found something which I like at KP but its not totally white lor..Its lime green polo shirt with white base..Anyway, think I will just settle for the polo tee. Shopped till 8plus then went over to pick up my boy..*Thanks sister for your help*

A Fun Friday Night

DH niece & BF came over to our hse on Friday night to stay for a night. Actually, they wanted to bring DS for a swim on Saturday but I had already had plans for that day so they just came over and played with DS. When they came over at 10plus..DS was already sleeping liao but my neighbour dogs woke him up at ard 11plus and DS was at first quite surprise to see them but warmed up after a while. DS was happy to play with them till 12plus which by then..I was already half a zombie liao. But the good news is..DS finally wants to hold the bottle by himself and when DH tried to help him..he even pushed DH hand away. “Good job Jayden..Mummy is so happy for you & happy belated 10mth old to you!!”.

Busy over..One white shirt!!

It’s been such a while since I did my last update. Let me briefly summarize ba..

08/09/07 (Sat)
Brought DS to compass point for a shopping trip again. As usual, he was super happy lor..but I’m still searching high & long for a white shirt for him. To think that he got lots of other colour clothes at home except white and our family is going to attend a party on 29.09.07 & the our table theme is white.. Been searching for so long liao yet I have brought none. Actually..got nice clothing..but some either don’t have DS size or are really ex. lor (Dun want to overspend juz becoz of a party). Think if I really can’t find anything suitable, I will just settle for other colour clothes. So long as me & DH wear the theme colour can liao lar..Dun want to stress myself further.

09/09/07 (Sun)
Brought DS to see a doc coz he was coughing quite badly for the past two nights and it seems like he have got lots of phlegm. Moreover, he vomited out a bit of milk during feeds. We tried to give him some med for phlegm which we have brought from PD previously as standby med. But the med like no effect leh. So me being the paranoid one, decided to bring DS to see doc in case his phlegm got into his lungs. The doc told me that the sound which DS made was not cause by phlegm but by his saliva and he cough is maybe due to the med which we have given him and irritated his throat. Was so relieved to hear that.. Asked doc to take his weight too and sad to said..DS now weigh only 7.9kg nia. Seems like DS only up his weight by 0.1kg per month.
Afternoon went over to my sis hse for a while. Actually, we wanted to go early for lunch but DS slept till 1plus then woke up. Quickly give him his lunch & bath him coz me & DH were staving. Lunch was horrible but was too hungry to be fussy. Reached my sis place abt 4pm & stayed till 5plus before we went over to MIL place for dinner.

10/09/07 (Mon)
Was on leave for a day to do my own stuff after which I met DH for dinner at Suntec. Wow..the Food Republic at Suntec was so nicely decorated and the food there were delicious too. I brought prawn noodle soup which was surprising very good (coz normally I don’t eat soupy stuff), and so was the stir-fried prawn noodle that DH ordered. But food there can be ex lor..DH ordered a cup of tea for $1.50 =p After dinner, we went shopping ard the area as I’m still looking for suitable clothing for DS. Ended up..brought my own stuff instead..Hahaha.

Last Sunday, we went over to DH sister place for lunch & dinner.. DS was in a good mood that day so DH niece bf faster took out his camera & tooks some pics for DS (Click on the pic for a better view)...

881 - the movie

Last night went to watch 881 with DH at AMK. This was kind of last min. decision as I called DH ard 5.20pm to ask whether he wanted to go watched any movie. So he suggested why not go to AMK to watch 881 and so at 5.30pm sharp, I left the office to meet DH. Actually, we wanted to watched the 7.20pm slot but to my surprise..DH told me left only the first row seat which both of us don’t like. So DH got the 9.30pm show and that left us with 3hrs to roam ard AMK. First, we settle our dinner. Actually, wanted to try the Gong Bao Tian Chi..but hor.. the promo was buy 2 get 1 free..then DH didn’t want to eat that. Hmmm.. so I settled for the next best dish..that is the Gong Bao Chi while DH had the Lor Mee. After that is shopping time, as I wanted to buy DS his first lantern. But hor, DH said that now DS everything oso want to put inside his mouth..Later if he put the electrical wiring into his mouth, can be dangerous lor. So too bad..no lantern for DS. Then we decided to walk over to AMK Hub as I wanted to do more shopping.
Finally, can totally enjoyed shopping becoz with DS..it is super difficult to walk into every shop to see see look look. Brought 2 pairs of brown shoes and also cakes from crystal jade before we slowly walked back to Jubilee as the show as abt to start. So reached the cinema at 9.30pm and went straight into the hall. Half way throughout the movie..duno izit the aircon too cold or was it because I drank the soya milk, my stomach was feeling really uncomfortable, crampy kind of feeling. Some of the jokes I juz couldn’t laugh out loud..But luckily, the pain subsided after a while and I continue to enjoy the show. Show ended at 11.30pm and we stayed over at IL’s place for the night. Tonight, we are watching getai at AMK..Hope tonight getai will be entaining..

$$ not enuff..

Juz checked my bank account and have another shocked..Alamak..why inside so little $$ liao. Pay day was just few days ago and now my account looks so pathetic. This week going dinner with friends and family too..still got 1 big present to buy (cousin 21st birthday), Hp bill of $60plus to pay, Co. pray pray..Hmmm…all the above means my bank account going to be poorer by another few hundred bucks. The worse part is..I’m going to start work in a new co. so my wardrobe needs a slight revamp plus I badly need some decent working shoes. Been spending $$ like nobody business these few days and still got so many things to buy. Sigh! Money not enough leh.. Sian!

How we spend our Sat..

Brought DS to the market on Sat morning coz wanted to buy some ingredients for his porridge. On our way there, DH met his sec school mates and while both guys were chatting, decided to take some pics for DS using my camera phone. After they were done, went over to buy my bak tau, Australian pumpkin and also broccoli. Had our breakfast at Koufu and rushed back home coz the sky went dark. Reached home..Faster put the brown rice into the slow cooker and get DH to help me with the rest of the ingredients while I showered DS as he getting cranky. After DS showered, decided to let him take his nap while I get some rest too. DS woke up at ard 12plus and have his lunch at 1.00pm. After an hour of watching TV, DH patted him to sleep and to my surprise…DS slept again and so he slept from 2.3pm to 4pm. After DS woke up, we decided to go over to Hougang Mall for a walk plus have our dinner there..so faster gave DS his milk so that we have less barang barang to bring out..
Shopped a while at Hougang Mall before we decided to settle down at a coffeeshop for dinner. After that, decided to walked back again to the shopping mall coz I wanted to buy some new shoes. Couldn’t find anything to my liking and so we proceed to another fashion boutique. But again, nearly fainted down there coz no matter what clothes I tried on..I looked so FAT!! And I really mean it. My hips look so big and I felt so demoralized. Left the shop empty handed too =(

Horrifying bus experience

So angry with a bus company yesterday coz my pants kena ripped off and was so embarrassed by that incident. Wrote in to complain this morning so hope they can give me a satisfaction answer. To think that the bus companies kept wanting to increase the fares where the buses are not properly maintain plus the schedule is sometimes so haywire. Imagine sometimes you got to squeeze inside a crowded bus and just when the bus moves..the next empty bus comes along and its definitely very frustrating to see such a sight. Also, I hate it when those bus captain brakes very hard at times..I noe its inevitable at times to avoid accident. But I believe if you drive carefully and exercise more care, caution and consideration..it can be prevented or at least minimize it, coz we dear passengers esp. standing ones sometimes have to hold on to our dear lives to prevent falling. Looks like there’s still so much to improve on our bus service standard and the bus companies should really look into this and for a while stop thinking when and how they can increase the bus fares!!

Another pleasant surprise

Yeah..finally DS can response to the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by opening and closing his small little hand. Been trying to teach him for so long that I nearly gave up coz whenever I sang this song..he will wave and juz smile..Errmmm Duno why? But to my surprise, I finally see him trying to open and close his hand when he was drinking his milk yesterday night. After that, when I sang to him and showed him the actions..He followed also..FINALLY!! Now trying to teach him clap clap hands..Hope he can surprise me with this action soon.

Yesterday night, DH and I went to Jen place to collect the book from her. Actually, I wanted to go earlier but juz as we were about to walked over to the food court, we saw Ann Kok and Jessica Liu filming at my hse downstair playground. So we decided to KPO a bit and juz stand nearby to watch them filming and just a few script of lines took so long to complete and have to redo over and over again. Watched for a while before we decided to go get dinner plus buy diapers at the supermarket nearby. So sad..I think my fav ban mian stall has ceased operations coz seems like its been a while the store never opened liao. DH suggested that we take a bus to Rivervale Plaza food court as there are more varieties there. But I’ve decided not too coz I don’t want to go Jen house too late as I know my dear Ah Zheng sleep very early and I want to go over to play with him. Anyway, both of us had noodles, which was not nice at all. We have decided to take the free shuttle bus to Jen hse since it was along the way. But waited for half an hour and that stupid bus didn’t even appear. Told DH that we will just slowly walked over coz might be even faster than that bus. Reached Jen house already 9plus and DH decided not to go up. So off I went with the intention of playing with AH Zheng but atlas Ah Zheng already in his dreamland liao. Jen passed me the books (which came in nice nice bag) and also biscuits..Then the ever so kind of her..always give me this blur blur mummy advise and also she lend me the warmer. Though, I still duno will I use the warmer but somehow my heart was already warmed by her helpfulness and thoughtfulness..Anyway, could have stayed longer if not interrupted by DH, who by then have been bitten by duno how many mosquitoes downstair. Hahaha =p Once again..a big thank you to Jen.

Lousy Sunday Night.

Yesterday, was supposed to go back MIL place for dinner but at 4pm..it was still raining and told DH that we shld juz stayed at home. So quickly…I went to cook the porridge again coz yesterday porridge took about 4 hrs to be ready ..OMG!! So using the same procedure, I proceed to cook the same thing (sorry son, mummy only know how to cook this type of porridge..must ask Erin aunty to teach me more variety). But this time was a failure coz the potatoes after 3 hrs plus is still not soft and me being impatient (coz its already 8pm liao), I’ve decide to use the pot to cook. Ended up, porridge was slightly burnt, potatoes still not soft and DH was nagging at me.. I mean I was very angry and disappointed at myself already and what DH said juz added to my frustration.. Decided not to give DS the porridge coz felt that we have done to much stirring and moreover it was juz too late..Was worried that after eating DS might get “wind “ n his tummy. So no choice, let DS have his cereal instead and thank goodness..he didn’t make a big fuss out of it..Maybe, he knew that mummy is already feeling lousy or maybe, after so long never eat his cereal, he thinks this is something new. After dinner..gave him his bath and put him to sleep..But he slept for only half hour and woke up to play. Kept him entertained for about another hour before giving him his last feed at 10.30pm and finally..lights off for both DS and a very tired mummy..

My first attempt to cook porridge was a success!!

Last sat evening..tried to cook porridge for DS using the slow cooker. I followed the procedure that Erin and my MIL taught me. First, I boil the ikan billis water so that can use as my porridge base. Next, I put in the scallop together with the potatoes and carrot. But I cut the potatoes and carrot into too big pieces liao..got to take out again to cut into smaller pieces. Waited till 6.30pm to steam the broccoli and after it was done..mesh it up to put inside the slow cooker. Volia..my job was done and waited for DS to wake up from his evening nap. DH fed him and he seems to like it a lot. I’m really happy to see him enjoying his dinner coz this is my first time cooking. Even though, it is juz porridge but the truth is..I never ever done much cooking in my life. Before marriage, I have the luxury of being pampered by my family. After marriage, my MIL took great care of me. So haven’t got any chances for me to learn cooking (Excuses!!) Therefore, even if it is juz to cook porridge..I felt a sense of small achievement. Hmmm..but think for the sake of my DS..I will have to buck up a bit and starts to learn a few dishes ba..Hopefully, in future gathering..I can cook for my family to eat..=p (But hor..got to wait for at least a few more years).

Happy 9mth to Jayden

Wow..time really flies!! Today, Jayden is now 9mth old. Yesterday was just looking through his photos and was amazed by the changes from month to month. Frankly speaking..I still prefer his newborn look..coz that time he still pui pui ma..Now really can see that ‘slim’ down a lot..Ba Ba cheeks all gone…so are the fats ard his thighs. Then newborn only eat and sleep the whole day long..Now it’s a different story liao..Got to watch the active boy like a hawk coz now to him everything is very fascinating including the switches, fan etc..OMG!! Sometimes, just too tired to look after him the whole day long and this is only the beginning of the challenge only. I wish I can have the energy to keep up with him in near future.. Hahaha. Anyway, let me recall what can Jayden do now..

1)Says papa, mama, mum-mum..though most of the times babbling to himself.
2)Wave bye bye when told him to. Again..subjected to his mood at that time.
3)Pull himself to standing position and can stand for at least 5mins
4)Crawl with his knee not touching the floor.
5)Can shift from crawling position to sitting position
6)Loves to watch TV show intensively. (Think he is a super TV addict)
7)Chew his food and loves all food.
8)Look for the toys that went out of sight
9)Throw his tantrum when not happy.
10)Can imitate people coughing..
11)Can do tsk & tuck sound using his tongue

Now he is so much more fun to play with but this also means more tiring for me. But seeing how he grows up happily (esp. when he smile at me) and healthily day by day is the most rewarding part for me. Yipee..3 more mths till Jayden 1st Birthday!

How we spend our long weekend..

Can’t imagine how the long weekend passed by so quickly. Get to spend 4 days with DS and here’s a quick recap of how we spend the days.

09/08/07 (Happy National Day)
Went to TPY for a dinner gathering…As usual, it’s good to be back home and have home cooked food. I always look forward for family gathering coz that’s the time when we can catch up with one another, have good food and also have tons of fun. But this time round, DS was super naughty. He cried the moment I stepped into the hse and refused to be carried by anyone except me. So got to coax him and waited till he ‘warm up’ before I get to rest. Watched NDP together with the family and also the fireworks. After the show, went back to AMK as we DS was going to have his jab at SBCC at AMK the next day.

10/08/07
Brought DS to SBCC for his 2nd doze of pneumococcal jab. His weight as at 8mth 3 weeks was 7.8kg, height: 70cm. Head circumference: 43.5cm. As usual, DS weight belongs to the 25th percentile group. A bit on small built but PD said was ok (His usual reply to me). Asked him also abt DS rashes and he said DS suffered from allergy and the 5 main causes of allergies: Nuts, Seafood, Egg, Orange, Milk Powder. Now got to start monitoring what food is he allergy to? And the worse part is..I can’t think of any because when he is at nanny place, he is ok..and he is there most of the time. Only when he is back at my place over the weekends, then his skin condition flares up. I wonder why?? But meanwhile, its trial and error ba..Hope we can solve this problem fast. Oh, we have also started DS on porridge and he taking it well.

12/08/07
Brought DS to DH 4th auntie hse @ Yishun. First time DS slept in sarong..At first, he refused to sleep inside but 2nd attempt was successful. Juz a few rocks and DS was fast asleep. DS was sleeping so soundly till the kiddos came and disturb him. As usual, DS was cranky when he saw so many people but after awhile, he starts to play with all the aunties and the children. Brought him back to AMK in the evening and even though DS was very tired, he still refuse to sleep. Decided to ask DH to go back earlier coz DS already very tired and moreover PIL told us not to stay till so late. So off we went back at 8plus and DS doze off in the car while we are on our way back.

Sleep Deprived...

Last evening, went to AMK to collect my specs (cost me a bomb..cost abt $300) and also to shop around. Decided to check out Baby Fox again at AMK Hub to see what else is worth buying. But sad to say..the store left was left with very limited stock for 12-18mths and the store looks so messy. But the store assistant did mention that new arrival will be in maybe next week..Guess will go and see the new arrival if I happened to be in that area ba. Roam ard AMK central before I’ve decided to speed up before I got caught in the rain. So collected my specs and have a quick dinner before taking a bus back home..Was very happy that DH have had already done DS laundry when I reached home. Slept early last night and really doze off the min. I close my eyes. Felt as though I haven’t sleep for the past week. Think I’m very deprived of sleep right now. I seriously need my beauty sleep!!

Bad rashes on DS body..

As usual, picked up my boi on Fri ..only to know that he have got running nose. Wanted to bring him to PD on Sat morning but realized that he was better..My friend and her bf came in the late morning and they brought over lunch and a big mango..which looks Yummy!! (haven’t cut yet). Anyway, DS was very well behaved that day and so my friends didn’t get to see the naughty side of him. After that my friends left, we went over to Ikea at 4pm to meet DH niece and bf. We were there till 8plus when I decided it was too late and was kinda of tired too. At night, realized that DS rashes had worsen, decided to monitor him again for a night before deciding what to do again.
Sun morning..tot that DS rashes had subsided as we had already apply cream and powder for him the night before..But atlas no!! The rashes has worsen yet again..decided to find the root cause for the rashes..so DH did a big spring cleaning in DS room..we even threw away his mattress and decided not to let him sleep in his playpen for a night.. But this morning..the rashes did not seems to go away. Brought him over to nanny place this morning and told her to monitor him as well..Pray hard it’s not eczema. Waiting for my Friday appointment with Dr. Koh coz I can’t wait to know Ds weight now and his progress.
Oh yeah, now I’m half as blind as a bat..coz my specs was broken yesterday and there’s no way to fix it back except to buy a new pair. So immediately after DS woke up from his afternoon nap..we headed down to the optical shop at AMK. Hengz, degree did not worsen but neither did it improve..It’s still the same as last time..so right eye is 525 degree while left side 450 degree.. I really hate to be short sighted lor..coz without specs..I’m really like half blind. If only I could have $$ to do lasik. Sighz.. Need going to AMK again to collect my specs tonight and also have dinner.. I need my specs badly coz I can’t stand the contact lens in my eyes now!!

Bonding time with DS..

Yesterday, brought DS to Tampines Ikea for a walk coz we really don’t know where to bring him. Decided that Ikea was the best place to go as its not that far from Sengkang plus can go Giant to buy some groceries. DS was very naughty..he juz don’t want to sit inside his pram..wanted me to carry him all the times..The worse part is, he doesn’t even want his dad to carry him.. Shopped till 9.30pm and we decided that its time for DS to go back nanny place liao. Brought him back and he still wanted to follow us out though he’s eyes are about to closed..*faints* But no choice, we can only bring him back on Friday night..still got two more days to go.
Oh yeah..me and DH watched Harry potter and the order of the phoenix at AMK Hub Cathy on Tue night. But DH was very angry with me too. The reason?? I used that precious 15mins of dinner time to go to Baby Fox to grab another 2 suits of clothes for DS. Ended up we have no time for dinner before the show and DH gastric came back as a result of no proper dinner..Felt so guilty but at that point..i really couldn’t resist the temptation of not stepping in to buy more clothes for DS coz Fox having 50% sales. As there was a saying”A hungry man is an angry man”..Luckily, after dinner, DH was not that angry with me liao..but of course, I’m still not spared from his grumbling and nagging..Well, I’ve agreed that this time was my fault coz I didn’t plan my time properly and when I shopped, I was totally to engross that I have totally forgotten about our show time and we nearly miss it. Guess, I have spent too much on clothing for DS this month. Well, time to save up and buy that bicycle with handle, that I have sourcing for so long for DS ba..

Mad Rush..

Meet up with Erin and her cousin at Compass Point yesterday coz both of us wanted to make library cards for our kiddos. But it was a mad rush for me coz we were actually supposed to meet on Tue, but my dear friend have got another appointment. So I rushed to get home from work, rushed to get DS laundry into the washing machine, rushed to bath, rushed thru my dinner and rushed to catch the bus. Upon reaching there, we roamed ard Kiddy Palace coz we wanted to get some presents. After that, we decided to get our library card done. It was such a simple procedure but we were told by the librarian that we need to borrow 4 books first to entitle for our free gifts. So after borrowing our books, we proceed happily to the counter coz we were wondering what freebie are we entitled to..Imagine my shock, when the librarian juz passed to us 4 recyclable bag!! I was kinda of disappointed coz maybe I expected slightly better things than the recyclable bag ba. But luckily, Erin really makes my night better coz she such a true friend..Hmmm..too bad she was rushing home, else could have had coffee with her and continue with our talk. Seems that we both of plenty to of topics to talk. Anyway, roam for a short while before we both heeded home.

I love shopping!!

Went to Baby Fox @ AMK Hub yesterday coz decided to buy more clothes for DS again. DH this time didn’t complained much while waiting for me to make the decision which to buy (how I wish I have $$ to buy the whole shop down..Hahaha) coz I told him the clothes are on sales..and also, I suspected that he likes the clothes design that I have chosen for DS. Brought 6 pcs of clothes for DS @ only $70.90..cheap rite? This time round, decided to buy more polo tee for DS coz all along, I have brought him T-shirt..Time for a change!! So got him 2 polo tees, 1 sleeveless T-shirt, 1 short sleeve shirt, 1 pair of long pants and 1 pair of shorts. But I have forgotten to get the socks for him which I have wanted to get for him. Well, if I’m going again this weekend, perhaps, will just grab a pack for him..At the rate I’m spending $$..I declared I’m broke. Oh, how I wish money will grow on money plant!!

DS fav. activity..

DS now have a fav pastime that is to try to attempt to walk around his playpen. He simply loves to walk from one corner to another..But to complete that small 1 round of walking, I have lost count how many times he needs to fall and how much effort he needs, to attempt to stand up and try again. Actually, I realized how I used to give up on things easily. In the past, if I encounter any difficulties or problems, I would either choose to ignore or simply give up without really trying to attempt to solve. Maybe, I should learn from my son, regardless of how many time you have fallen, as long as you try..one day you will definitely be able to do it!! Just when I thought, children should learn from adults..At time, maybe we should try to learn from children too..Hahaha :)

Rain rain go away...

Rain again..It has been raining for the past week..Think our Mr. Golden Sun is away for vacation..Hahaha. Just hope that tonight the rain will stop because I really hate to pick up my DS on raining days..Reason?? DH never knows how to shelter people properly with an umbrella. Always ended up getting wet also and I hate that type of feeling. Think going to start DS soon with porridge coz too many people have been asking me why DS still not on porridge. But come to think of it..Those ang mo kids also never eat porridge ma..oso all pui pui wan..So if I feed DS with porridge, does that means he will put on weight? Nia, just think aloud out to these qn. What matter most ultimately is DS health ba. Will ask Dr. Koh to comment on DS weight during his next appointment.. But I think I know what Dr. Koh reply is going to be like. Hmmm..maybe me juz like to hear words coming from his mouth ba..afterall he’s a Dr., therefore more reassurance.
If weather permits tomolo and I’m not very lazy to walk to the market, shall go and buy the bar-tau to cook DS porridge in the slow cooker. Else, I’ll juz let DS try the Brown rice which sis passed to me the other day but I’ve kept forgetting to give DS. Think must give him a change in food variety ba, coz he’s getting older now..can’t be eating the same stuff every time.

KTV session

Yesterday night, went to Part World KTV with Shannen and her husband. Its been a long time since we (me and DH) been to a karaoke. As usual, most of the new songs..I’m only familiar with the chorus. But my friends, Shannen and Chris were great..They knew how to sing most of the newer songs.. Actually, me and DH wanted to leave earlier coz we were afraid that we couldn’t catch the last bus back if we stayed till 11pm..so we wanted to wait for the bill to be settled first before we leave. Then comes the shocking part..The final bill came up to abt $60 plus.. At first, I thought the staff have did not minus off Shannen $40 discount voucher, that’s why so ex. Went to the counter to check with the staff and they showed me that what Shannen has was not a $40 voucher but rather a 4hr off voucher. So after all the ++, its works up to the final bill. Then Chris asked which credit card have got discount and they said HSBC, so Chris paid thru that credit card. But when we re-calculate the bill, we realized that that no 10% discount was given. So again, I went to checked with the staff again and was told that the staff made a mistake.. So not pro are the staffs over there. In the end, me and DH decided to stayed till 11pm and by the time we reached home, already 5 minutes to 12am. Finished everything and headed to dreamland ard 12.45am… Very tired and stone today. Hahaha. But me and DH did have a fun time singing and the best part is Shannen and Chris can tahan my lousy singing..Hope to have another KTV session with the rest again.

Summarize of weekend event

Another weekend gone just like that. Was supposed to go to DH friend house on Sat afternoon but was cancelled and ended up staying at home. But Sat, Jayden fell from the bed while he was having his morning nap. I didn’t know what happened coz I was watching TV cum resting and DH was doing his stuff. Then all of a sudden, we heard a loud wail and saw that Jayden on the floor liao. Quickly, went to pick him up and comfort him while DH was busy checking did he hurt himself badly. Thank goodness, nothing serious and we are still monitoring him.
Sunday, brought him to his 8th month photo shot at United Square. After that, went to Pizza Hut for lunch and I let DS sit on the high car to see us eat..The tiam chia boi oso wanted to eat..so I gave him bits of chicken slices juz to let him taste and keep quiet. After lunch, went back to the photo studio to collect the pic and we walked to Novena Square as we have not been to Velocity and also the Square2. Actually nothing much there and think not nice to walked coz the aisle at Square2 is so narrow. All the shops are so close to one another. After a while, decided to walked back to United Square coz car was parked there and we need to go to AMK for dinner. Oh..went to Fox babies for a while coz they are having summer sales, but couldn’t get anything nice for DS and DH was getting impatient. After dinner at AMK, was hurrying DH to go home coz I was so tired and it was already drizzling. Back home, DH initially wanted to put a mattress on top of DS existing playpen mattress..but DS surprise us when he suddenly grip the rail and stand up..Woa..so dangerous that we scraped of the idea. But DS now can still managed to stretch himself and hold onto the rail and support himself and he really enjoy his little achievement..

Flu bug..Get Lost!!

Yesterday, was on MC coz of my stupid flu bug and having a soar throat.. Glad to be back to office today, not because I love to work, rather is because Ido have a temp forum to chat in and I gets to yak all day again. Hahaha. But the stupid thing is that I couldn’t log into that temp forum. Don’t know what happen to it. Cannot be I forgot my username. As for my password, might have a slight possibility that I have forgotten it coz normally I don’t even log out from my co. comp. whatever!! Going to have sumptuous dinner tonight, but don’t think I will enjoy much coz of my throat and also I miss my DS.. But don’t think will get too close with him tonight..Think will quarantine myself in my room ba and ask DH to look after DS himself tonight. What an excuse to rest!!

I'm Sick..

Decided not to go and play with DS tonight coz I think I’m going to have flu soon..Been have blocked nose and dry throat since yesterday night..Dun want to spread the virus to DS. Hmmm..then Fri night I’m not going to pick him up coz I’ll be having dinner with my colleagues at Grand Plaza Parkroyal. Now thinking how is DH going to bring DS alone since DS don’t like to sit in his car seat..Arrghh..i hate getting sick near the weekend.

Movie Date

Went to watched Transformer with my hubby last night at Eng Wah AMK..I know a lot of people have already watched it and we only managed to watch last night. But its ok to me coz its been a long time since I watched a movie (ever since my DS was born, I have no time or chance to watch a movie), plus the movie tickets were cheap as Eng Wah AMK is having a promo now. Tickets cost us only $10 and I think if u presents them with a newspaper ad, you will get free popcorn and a drink. But I forgot to bring along the newspaper to redeem my free popcorn and drink. Sharks!! The movie was already though I got a bit lost somewhere during the fighting scene where all the transformers look the same. Kept asking Hubby, who is bad who is good? Hahaha… Also, as I was rushing to catch the movie at 6.15pm..we didn’t managed to buy anything to the cinema to eat..ended up I was quite hungry throughout the show. After movie, Hubby and I went to the coffee shop for dinner..I ate my Fish and Chip while Hubby ate the Hor Fan.. Then its Home Sweet Home to do some housework.

I'm so happy

This is my 3rd post today..U know why? Because I have finally understand how this blog works..I know its a bit late coz my first post was quite some time back. But today after trial and error and after a phone call to Erin..everything was solve..But of course, my blog still not so advance and nice compare to the pro bloggers. I'm still learning and I think I still have lots to learn and catch up..But never mind, what I figure out today is still useful to me and with a new blog template..it really motivate me to blog often. So to all my loyal fans..Stay tuned..

Nov mummies gathering at my place

I invited November forum mummies to my small little house on Sun afternoon (15/07/07) for a gathering cum babies play session. Actually, mummies is supposed to come ard 4plus so that can have more time to chit chat ma..But a lot of mummies came later than that..Only zhen & family was punctual..Think her family came ard 4plus. First time I meeting some of the mummies at my house coz I missed the first gathering at United Square. Didn't talk much to her coz I was a bit shy and she is also those type of shy shy type..and moreover, DS was getting very grouchy. Other families (looney and Virgo) starts to come ard 5plus and that is when things get more lively..maybe that is because Looney started the ball rolling and with more mummies & babies
(jjon and family was there too) participating..it gets better lor..Then came Bubble and family..The minute she came..she was super busy..coz she the chief for the baby menu..So I have to help her a bit..but think i more of a entainer than a helper..Hahaha.. Oh..think Puala and family came ard the time when I'm helping out in the kitchen.
By the time, Bubble finished with all the steaming..its time for babies to eat..Some babies took the porridge well, some didn't.. Well, DS took a bit but think he was not hungry coz DH gave him cereal at 4plus..ended up DH ate the porridge.. After a while, time for the adults to have dinner..we ordered pizza but couldn;t eat much coz was busy entaining and looking after DS coz again he was a bit grouchy coz he wanted to sleep. The guest went off at 8plus and I must said the gathering was a success coz I think I got to see and play with all the babies, DH gets to know who are my forum friends, and DS gets to play with all his playmates. Shall look forward for more gathering!!

Jayden learning how to crawl

My darling boy (DS) is now 8mths and 3 days old..and currently he is learning how to crawl..But give him a flat surface to crawl on he doesn’t like or rather, give him some obstacles eg, bolster, pillow etc to prevent him from crawling will be more challenging to him and he loves it…Last Sunday nearly had a fright of my lift..coz DH went to work then left me and darling boy at home..As I will be inviting guest over to my house later in the late afternoon, decided to mop the floor again when DS was asleep.. Halfway through, I heard the tsk tsk sound made by DS..so I knew he was awake already..BUT..I don’t want to do my housework halfway..so decided to quickly finished up before attending to DS..And guess what when I finished my housework..DS was already lying beside the bolster and watching me mop the floor..I was like OMG!! If he have ventured further up, he will definitely fell from the bed and that bed was super high lor.. I quickly carried him tight and from that moment on..I knew that now DS crawling skill has improved from the previous week and that we must now watch him carefully to prevent any mishap.

Mother's Day

Yes..First time I'm get to celebrate Mother's Day..BUT..this year mother's day I was not even happy coz little prince was sick..He was already not feeling well on Sat but Sun, he got fever and cough..Brought him to doc and have to mointor him constantly as I'm afraid his fever will shot up to too high.. Didn't sleep well on Sunday coz have to take his temperature regularly and spoonge him also. Took leave yesterday to look after and mointor him. Luckily, he alright now. Anyway..Little Prince is now 6mths and 1 day old..He is now taking cereal for lunch and hopefully he will be able to gain weight coz now his weight is only 7.2kg..Wants him to be chubbier so that can pinch him..Hahaha. But most importantly..I want him to be healthier and that my ultimate wish for him.

I can't believe it!! I've actually posted my post but then due to my 'sotong-ness'..I actually went to delete it away..OMG!! So got to re-type again.

Okie..now no mood to re-type liao..Just wanna thanks my wonderful and good friend, Erin for her patience in teaching and guiding me on how to create and set-up this blog (Actually, I set up this blog because of her..coz she can't view multiply from her office).
