Toilet Training Updates

After weeks of hard work as we need to constantly mop the floor, bring DS to the potty, asking him if he needs to pee, encouraging him etc, DS can now be ‘diaperless’ during the day *well done* except during naptime and bedtime. But like what DH said, DS is now like a ‘L’ plate driver coz at times, he will still pee a bit onto his brief before he will quickly asked us to bring him to the potty and also, when he is at the potty he simply cannot poo poo out (duno why). I guess he will have to learn and get use to poo poo in the potty. 加油!!

Thomas & Friends @ Jurong Point – 15/03/09

DH decided to bring DS again to JP as there is a performance by Thomas & Friends. We reached there at around 11am plus and since the show only starts at 1pm and there was no queue, we decided to have lunch first. However, after our lunch, the queue for the show was very long and thus we decided to just proceed to 2nd storey to watch instead. Luckily, we managed to find a good view and my friend also brought her DD to JP to watch the show but the performance was very short. After the show, DS was initially very shy as he wanted me to carry him but after a while the 2 kiddos were holding hands walking around *so sweet*.

As my friend DH needs to grab a bite, we decided to go to Mac while DH helped us queue for the ride and DS gets to enjoy the fries before we rushed up for the ride. I accompanied the kiddos for the ride and I am glad that both the kids enjoyed the ride. Hope to meet up my friend and her DD soon as her DD was simply too adorable and cute to play with…

28th month

DS is now 28mth. Although he is still not speaking in proper sentences & his pronunciation is not very clear (I think due to short tongue) compared to some of the kids of the same age but I am glad he have made some improvement on his Mandarin (at least, he understand what I am saying and knows his body parts like眼睛,手, 脚). He also can count from 1 to 14 and knows his name. However, recently when we asked DS about colours, he seems to get all his answer wrong so we were wondering if DS is then colour blind or is he just not strong in colours recognition (Hope he will improve over time).

Weekend Updates

Fri (27/02/09)
Since I went back home earlier last Friday night, we decided to go to the newly renovated Sembawang Shopping Center. When we reached there, we saw that the car park was full but luckily the queue was very fast. Reached there and quickly settle our dinner at Wang Chai HK Tea Room as I was famished. Halfway through the dinner, DS started to misbehave by wanting to leave and started to wave goodbye to the waitress. But luckily, the waitress there entertained him a bit and he started playing ‘peek-a-boo’ with them. The waitress then mentioned that she wanted to bring DS to the outside playground and when DS heard the word ‘see-saw’, he immediately asked DH to bring him out.

As DH and DS have already finished their dinner, DH took DS out to play while I continued with my dinner. The outside playground is bigger and more suitable for DS age group than Vivo-city (there are also exercise corner for adults). DS have had so much fun and refuse to leave!! We had a hard time trying to ‘catch’ hold of him so that we can proceed to Giant supermarket for our grocery shopping. After our shopping, while inside the lift, DS suddenly pointed to Giant logo in the lift poster and said the word “Giant”..Hmmm..wonder did DS recognized the Giant supermarket logo or the word itself??

Sat (28/02/09)

After DS afternoon nap, we decided to have dinner with BIL family at AMK coffeeshop. As DH niece have $30 worth of Crystal Jade voucher, we decided to stop by the outlet at Bishan to utilize the voucher before it expired. Ended up, we brought $30 worth of bread from there.. We drove BIL family back and at the same time, decided to have a friendly majong session (no $$ involved) before we went back at 12am in the morning.

Sun(01/03/09)
We spend our afternoon @ Downtown East & E-hub as I thought there were some performances there (ended up, it was a Malay concert). As usual, we had Mr. Chicken Rice for lunch and we happened to see Darren Lim (& his kids) and Mark Lee filming. We were lucky to find a place to eat before the filming started but the place was so crowded & noisy after that.. Since there was no performance to watch, we let DS had his kiddy train ride again and we roamed around the area till 5pm plus.
