Time flies..now my gal is already 1mth and 2 weeks old. The maid have also came for about a mth plus and hopefully she can continue to work with dilligence. My hope for year 2010 will be that everybody around me will be surrounded with happiness and be healthy. The kids will be good and my job will scale to a new heights.
Last but not least, let me share some of my gal photos with you all..

Updates
Yes..few more days before my gal EDD..Went for checkup last Tuesday(03/11/2009) and gynae told me now DD is about 3.2kg. Asked me would I want to wait for the actual EDD anot? Now still thinking on this question.. Finally, we settled the maid issue. She should be coming in next Tuesday so hopefully she is someone whom I can entrust my kids with and a great helper.
Will be celebrating DS 3rd birthday this Sunday at Toa Payoh and AMK. I hope I can still have time to update my blog in future...Meanwhile, stayed tuned.

Check up
Went for blood test and gynae check up last Sat (10/10/09). Also, happened that my 2nd sis was there for blood test and we had lunch together at Ajisen (Thks BIL for the delicious lunch treat). Since I had nothing on, we roamed around Compass Point for a while before I went for my gynae check up. Baby is ok and now weighs 2.5kg. As for me, I am now 64.3kg and Dr Adrain said that baby head has turned.
After the checkup, DH picked me up and we went shopping at Suntec. I met my secondary school mates there and its been so long since I have seen them (1 of them is even a mother of 3). Anyway, our main objective is to go to JL to buy playpen mattress since we have some vouchers. We managed to find 1 that is suitable and off we went to have our dinner at Hotpot culture. The dinner was enjoyable as DS is happily playing with his new cars that DH had brought for him. After dinner, we went to Starbuck café for my sudden craving of ice coffee. By the time, we went home I was so....tired.

Review
Brought DS for his assessment review for 2-3 years old yesterday. Decided to bring him to our family doctor instead of Dr. Koh as I find that our family doctor is more detailed in explaining. As usual, DS is on the 50 percentile (Measurement taken at 34 mths - weight: 13kg, height: 92cm) and since he has been progressing on such scale since young, the doctor assured us that he is growing normally. DS managed to complete all the task stated in the health booklet and this time, though there are still some resistance from him but luckily, the doctor is very patient with him and DS also warmed up after a while (with the sweets and stickers effect).
The only thing the doctor commented is that his speech is still not very clear. I asked the doctor should I bring him to see a speech therapist but doctor said that since DS can express himself, there is no such need except that we need to speak to him slower and pronounce our words clearly so that he can pick up the correct pronunciations (I do admit that I speak too fast at times and my English is not prefect, so DS might have pick up some incorrect pronunciations from me). Now DS already know the Capital letter alphabets but for small letter alphabets, sometimes he will still make some mistakes.
After the review, we went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to collect some vouchers but the shopping mall was too small and there was not much eatery place. We managed to grab our lunch cum dinner at Liao Bejing and after that we boarded the bus back to PS. We roamed around PS for a while before heading home around 9pm plus.

Long weekend
Always loved long weekend as I rest and spent more time with DS. We are filled with activities over last long weekend
Saturday (19/09/09)
It’s DH niece big day..Yeah, she and her BF have finally settled down after 9 years of courtship (even longer than me and DH relationship). As I can’t go to her house to see her 出嫁, we only reached SIL house at around 11am plus for the tea ceremony. The bride didn’t come back till 2pm so I spent my time playing Majong again.
We rushed back after the tea ceremony as I wanted to let DS have his nap before the wedding dinner @ 6.30pm. DS managed to nap for an hour plus before I woke up again to get him prepared. We will a bit late but luckily, we still managed to witness the couple solemnization. It was so sweet and touching when they exchange the vows. As usual, though the wedding invitation card states that dinner will be served at 7.30pm but the dinner didn’t starts till 8.30pm..Luckily, I had some food before the dinner but for DS, can see he was quite hungry already. Dinner ends at around 11pm plus and we sent PIL back. By the time we reached home, it was already midnight and I was so tired after a long day.
Sunday (20/09/09)
Decided to bring DS to East Coast Beach for some fun. The beach was crowded as it was a public holiday. We decided to have lunch at Mac first and after that, we brought DS to the beach for some fun. DH even brought DS to swim in the sea also and can see both of them having a wonderful bonding time swimming and building sandcastles. Really love and treasured those quality time that we spent as a family (^o^)
Monday (21/09/09)
Met up with the confinement lady sister at Compass Point to pass her the deposit. Hope that the confinement lady will be good as I have not used her before and contacts were obtained from the net. After that, we decided tabao lunch to SIL place and while we were having our lunch, PIL dropped by too. BIL asked if we want to go swimming at SAFRA Yishun since we have no programme on, we decided to join in too. So off we went back home to collect all our swimming stuff and we met them there. DS truly enjoyed himself and we had a hard time trying to get him out off the pool as he was having fun on the slide and the Jacuzzi pool. After the swim, we all went over to BIL place for dinner and left the place around 9pm plus.

Pasir Ris Park
Since the weather was good (no sun nor rain) yesterday, we decided to bring DS to Pasir Ris Park playground for some fun and exercise. We brought along DS football and off we left the house at 1pm plus. The park was surprising not crowded so it’s kind of quiet and the best part was that DS don’t need to queue for the swing. However, part of the playground was spoilt and was condoned off but still DS enjoyed his slides and had a fun time climbing here and there..
After more that an hour of play, we started to feel the raindrops so we decided to leave the park and DH drove to Downtown East for our lunch. Think all the running makes DS very hungry coz he managed to finish a big bowl of Macaroni and since there was a jumbo sales nearby, we decided to pop by. Brought a pair of comfortable flip flops for myself, a bolster and some kitchen cleaning cloth before heading to PIL place for dinner.

Checkups
Went for my Thyroid and Gynae check up. Doctor reduced my dosage for thyroid medication as now my condition is under controlled. Next, I went for my gynae checkup since I’m already at Compass point. Dr Adrain was late so I didn’t get to see him till around 3pm plus (luckily, DH and DS was there to accompany me). Baby is now at 29 weeks and weigh 1.5kg (height forgot to ask…) Told gynae about my increase frequency of leg cramps in the middle of the night but he said that was normal and all I can do is to get DH to wake up and massage for me.. We went back around 5pm and DS went to his dreamland shortly after and didn’t wake up till 9pm before we headed to IKEA for our late dinner.

Evelynn 21st Birthday & Cable Car Ride
Yes, we went to attend another 21st Birthday Party again on Saturday 29/08/09. This time is DH niece birthday and it was held at her hse BBQ pit. We had buffet and BBQ but due to many cats lurking around the area waiting to be fed, I decided to bring DS up to the hse so that we can relax a bit. We stayed till 11pm plus before heading home.
On Sunday, we went for the cable car ride again since DS enjoyed his ride during our last trip. Actually, we were contemplating whether to bring DS for the ride because it was raining when we left the house but luckily the rain subsided around late noon. We decided not to drop off at any destination since we have already been to all those places and moreover it was still drizzling. So basically, it was a joy ride and photo taking session for us in the cabin.

Daisy 21st Birthday Celebration
Super tired today as we went to attend Daisy’s 21st Birthday party at NUSS Suntec City Guild Hse last night (23/08/09). Though the party only started at 6.30pm but we were already at Suntec at around 2pm plus to roam around. Managed to ‘force’ DS to his dreamland and he slept for about an hour plus before we met 2nd Sis for coffee cum chit- chat session first before proceeding to the venue.
The theme for the party is Hat party so DS and I each wore a cap / hat and we were seated together with the birthday girl classmate from NUSS at Table 4. The party was great and DS gets to participate at the dancing segment. But as he is too young to understand the rules and regulation, he didn’t get to win any prizes but can see that he enjoys himself very much because he kept wanting to get on stage and perform his break dance.. Hahaha.. Everyone started to comment how good DS dancing was and even Daisy’s classmate asked me whether want to send him to any hip hop dance class *faints*
We left shortly after the cake cutting session, which was already closed to 11pm and reached home before 12midnight. Quickly showered DS and after settling everything, we all went to bed closed to 1am..So now I am typing this post with my mind half asleep (^o^) yawn
To my dearest cousin, Daisy: Thanks for inviting us to your party and we hope you had as much fun as we had last night. Watching your video last night brought back many fond memories that we used to share in the past…Over the years, you have grown and mature a lot. I wish all the best in whatever you do and stay young, funky forever!!

Cable Car & Sentosa
Since cable car is having 50% discount till 15 Aug for S’porean, we decided to bring DS for his first ride up on the cable car since he is always pointing at it whenever we saw it at HabourFront. Reached HabourFront at ard 4pm and paid $17.60 for 2 tickets since DS doesn’t need to pay. Our first destination is to Mount Faber which we let DS played at the koi pond and also roamed around the area to look at the scenery before we decided to queue again for the ride to Sentosa.
When we reached Sentosa, we wanted to go to the beach so that DS can played with the sand and the water but think DS too long never touched the sand liao..the moment his feet touched the sand, he immediately asked for towel to clean his feet *faints*. We decided then to proceed to the food court for dinner but after walking for quite a distance, we still couldn’t find the food court. Decided to take the train back to VivoCity instead as I was already tired from all the walking.
Reached VivoCity and went to Food Republic for dinner but food there is expensive. After dinner, we walked to the open theatre for the rock bank concert but DS was also very tired coz the moment I carried him, he doze off immediately. Decided to go to Vivo City to let DS have his nap while DH continued to watch the performance. After DS woke up an hour later, we went to HabourFront MacDonald’s for some food before calling end of the day.

Kukup Trip
During the National Day Holiday (09/08/09 – 10/08/09), we went to Kukup with DH family and friends (ard 30plus ppl). At first, I thought DS couldn’t stand the long bus ride as the last trip to Batam still leave a bad memory in me but luckily, this trip DS was still ok. We left Singapore ard 7.30pm plus and only reach Kukup during lunch time.
Had seafood for lunch before proceeding to the resort to rest. The resort is not very nicely furnished but at least still got recreation facilities such as Karaoke and Mahjong. DS gets to play with the kids (he just refused to nap) while I proceed with my Mahjong. Night time, we had BBQ food but poor DS couldn’t eat most of the food as it is all spicy. After dinner, while everyone was having fun playing firecrackers, I stayed in the room playing with DS as he was afraid of the loud sound. We finally managed to coax DS to bed at 1am plus.
DH and I woke up ard 7am plus to have breakfast after which DH went to roam ard the place with his sisters and PIL. DS woke up around 8am plus and after that DH brought him to the mangrove swamp for a walk. After they returned around 12pm plus, we checked out from the resort and went for seafood lunch again. Left Kukup around 2pm plus and only reach Singapore at 5pm plus. Think this trip will last me a few more years before I get to travel again.

Animal Farm & NDP Preview
18/07/09
After weeks of wanting to bring DS to the animal farm near Seletar, we finally went there. The farm was a bit ulu but we managed to find it eventually. The farm was small but DS was still very excited to see those animals (Horse, Goats, Goose, Duck, Rabbit etc). He even patted them and after seeing the dogs at the grooming center, we decided to leave the place as I was badly bitten by the mosquitoes. Just then, an uncle came up to us asking if we would want the tickets to NDP preview, as he couldn’t make it that day.
Since we have no agenda for the day, we accepted the tickets and rushed for to Marina Bay as we have to be seated by 5.45pm. We reached there on time and were lucky to be given the red seats, as the seats are located at the center of the stage. Once the parade started, DS was very excited, waiving his flag and beating the props provided. Could see that he was enjoying himself. But there was one segment on terrorism and that was when DS started to cling onto DH as there were gunshots and some fireworks. We managed to pacify him a bit before he wanted to sit down again to watch the parade again. But it was not too long before he cling onto DH again as now it was the gunfire that frighten him. Luckily, my packet of biscuit managed to do the trick and once again he was coaxed back to his seat. DS missed the firework performance too as the loud sound really terrified him and moreover, it was way past his naptime and he was very grouchy.
After the show, we went back to Suntec to have our dinner and headed straight home after that. Overall, I really enjoyed this year performance as this year theme was more to the musical show and watching it ‘live’ really makes it more special.

Trip to KKH
This trip actually happened last month but I thought I was forgotten to re-post, as my 1st entry was gone mysteriously.
20/06/09 (Sat)
DS felt feverish and my thermometer was spoilt so couldn’t get a reading for his temperature. Fed his some fever med but was again wasted as he vomited all out.
21/06/09 (Sun)
DS seems ok already. We thought heat monster have left so brought DS to E-Hub for the ferris wheel ride & Escape Theme Park for some fun (but we didn’t stay for too long as they don’t allow preggy women on all the rides). Went back to MIL place again for dinner.
22/06/09 (Mon)
DS complain of toothache and heat monster returns…We gave him the fever med but still DS refused no matter how we coax him to drink. No choice, let DS self-heal himself as we thought he was having his molar teeth.
23/06/09 (Tue)
Heat monster & toothache remains plus now DS started to have watery stools and he also complain of stomach pain. DH brought DS to the clinic downstair but doc confirm that DS was not having his molar but rather he had got an ulcer. There was no more fever so doc gave med for his diarrhoea and some cream for his ulcer. Back home, DS diarrhoea had gone from bad to worse esp during the night.
24/06/09 (Wed)
DH decided to bring DS to KKH A&E to see doctor, as we were worried that prolonged diarrhoea will be a serious. So rushed down to KKH at around 4am plus and we were lucky that the waiting time was not so long. Can see that there was some renovation done, as now the hospital is nicer. Doctor said that as long as we keep DS hydrated it is ok and there is no med to stop diarrhoea so we can only wait till he built up his immune system to this virus. But at least, DS was more co-operative during this visit to the doctor. Left the hospital by 5am plus. All in all, DS took about a week to recover from his dirrhoea and his tummy was flatten due to this… But it wouldn’t be long before his tummy budge out again..hahaha

DS @ 32mths
Ever since my pregnancy, we seldom bring DS out for outing, as I get tired easily. I think the last time we brought him out for some fun was during Father’s Day (22/06/09). We brought him to E-Hub for the Ferris Wheel ride and also to Escape Theme Park. But I hope to bring him out more often before I gave birth in November.
Now DS is more creative in his conversation..Just like two nights ago, when I called him “宝贝”, he actually answer back and said “No宝贝, call me Jayden Soh or Xiang Xiang” DH & I really laugh like anything over his answer (^o^) Also, whenever we asked him to sing “泥娃娃” he will purposely sing “ 你妈妈”. His wacky and mischievous behavior never fails to entertain us.
Oh, his Mandarin have improve a bit and so have his Hokkien but now his sentence will combined some English, Mandarin and even Hokkien *faints*. Also, now he is super duper attached to his daddy..If he never see me, he is still ok but the moment DH is out of his sight, he will start crying for him.. I just hope he will get over this clingy phrase soon as now we really can’t tahan his behavior.
Hmmm…finally DS is able to poo poo in his potty. Now the only time he is on diaper is when he is sleeping or when we were out for shopping trip. *Well done, son* Think we need to start training him to sleep without diapers soon *Gambatak*

Detailed Scan @ TMC
Went for my detailed scan yesterday (06/07/09) @ TMC. Baby is now 20 weeks. The wait was so long though I have already made my appointment. The scan confirmed that I would be having a gal through Dr. Adrian already told me beforehand the gender of the baby. After my scan, met a friend for lunch at Taka. We had yummy dim sum for lunch at Crystal Jade and I had a great time catching up with my friend, as we have not met for over a year. We parted our ways after lunch as she had other programmes while I juz went back to MIL.
Back home, DS was so sweet, kept touching my tummy and sayang his mei mei. Hope he will love his mei mei when the baby is born…

DUCKtours
Last Sat ( 13/06/09), brought DS for to a DUCKtour trip @ Suntec since we have free complementary adults tickets. So together with DH and family (a total of 11 adults + 1 toddler), we boarded the 1700hours tour. DS of course was very excited and I got to keep grabbing hold of him as he kept leaning over the side to see the water. The land tour was not as fascinating and interesting compare to the sea trip.
After the ride, we went to have our dinner and off we went to esplanade for a walk before proceeding to boat quay. It was a long and tiring walk as DS wanted to be carry instead of walking on his own (Super Lazy Bum!!). Luckily, there were many people to help us lightening our burden. We went back at 11pm plus and DS only slept at 1am in the morning!! What a tiring day for all of us.

Pregnant
Yes..I am pregnant. Now its over 3rd mth plus so my first trimester is over (had bad morning sickness). It might came as a surprise for my friend to read about my pregnancy since my friends should know that its always me who is keen on having another baby but luckily managed to convince DH to give another ‘try’.. Anyway, better do my updates before I forgot all the details:
28/03/09 (Sat) – Brought a test kit from colleague and tested ‘positive’. Visted Dr. Adrian but he wasn’t in..
04/04/09 (Sat) – Dr. Adrian confirmed my pregnancy and was given EDD 25/11/09. Also a November baby.
11/05/09 (Mon) – Went to Thomson for detailed scan..Everything is fine and EDD is now on 19.11.09 (closer to DS birthday)
Will go for another checkup 3 weeks time and by then the gender of the baby should be known..Hope this will be a girl. Anyway, regardless of boy or girl..as long as healthy can already. November will be a busy mth for me in future.. Hahaha.

Updates
Hmmmm…I know I haven’t update my blog for sooooooo long but that’s because there wasn’t any happening things recently and now most of the time we would stay at home or just pop over to SIL place as I would be so tired to go out.
DS also on the other hand wasn’t in pink of health recently. Kept having flu, cough and fever. To make things worse, DS wouldn’t want to take his medicine. Every feeding time is like a battling time as he would struggle, cry etc and it would always end with vomits on the floor due to too much crying.
Wow..DS coming to 30mth already. When DS is good, he really melts your heart but when he is naughty, he really drives you mad. Anyway, I just hope that he will continue to be mummy’s good boy and grow up happily and healthily.

Toilet Training Updates
After weeks of hard work as we need to constantly mop the floor, bring DS to the potty, asking him if he needs to pee, encouraging him etc, DS can now be ‘diaperless’ during the day *well done* except during naptime and bedtime. But like what DH said, DS is now like a ‘L’ plate driver coz at times, he will still pee a bit onto his brief before he will quickly asked us to bring him to the potty and also, when he is at the potty he simply cannot poo poo out (duno why). I guess he will have to learn and get use to poo poo in the potty. 加油!!
Thomas & Friends @ Jurong Point – 15/03/09
DH decided to bring DS again to JP as there is a performance by Thomas & Friends. We reached there at around 11am plus and since the show only starts at 1pm and there was no queue, we decided to have lunch first. However, after our lunch, the queue for the show was very long and thus we decided to just proceed to 2nd storey to watch instead. Luckily, we managed to find a good view and my friend also brought her DD to JP to watch the show but the performance was very short. After the show, DS was initially very shy as he wanted me to carry him but after a while the 2 kiddos were holding hands walking around *so sweet*.
As my friend DH needs to grab a bite, we decided to go to Mac while DH helped us queue for the ride and DS gets to enjoy the fries before we rushed up for the ride. I accompanied the kiddos for the ride and I am glad that both the kids enjoyed the ride. Hope to meet up my friend and her DD soon as her DD was simply too adorable and cute to play with…

28th month
DS is now 28mth. Although he is still not speaking in proper sentences & his pronunciation is not very clear (I think due to short tongue) compared to some of the kids of the same age but I am glad he have made some improvement on his Mandarin (at least, he understand what I am saying and knows his body parts like眼睛,手, 脚). He also can count from 1 to 14 and knows his name. However, recently when we asked DS about colours, he seems to get all his answer wrong so we were wondering if DS is then colour blind or is he just not strong in colours recognition (Hope he will improve over time).

Weekend Updates
Fri (27/02/09)
Since I went back home earlier last Friday night, we decided to go to the newly renovated Sembawang Shopping Center. When we reached there, we saw that the car park was full but luckily the queue was very fast. Reached there and quickly settle our dinner at Wang Chai HK Tea Room as I was famished. Halfway through the dinner, DS started to misbehave by wanting to leave and started to wave goodbye to the waitress. But luckily, the waitress there entertained him a bit and he started playing ‘peek-a-boo’ with them. The waitress then mentioned that she wanted to bring DS to the outside playground and when DS heard the word ‘see-saw’, he immediately asked DH to bring him out.
As DH and DS have already finished their dinner, DH took DS out to play while I continued with my dinner. The outside playground is bigger and more suitable for DS age group than Vivo-city (there are also exercise corner for adults). DS have had so much fun and refuse to leave!! We had a hard time trying to ‘catch’ hold of him so that we can proceed to Giant supermarket for our grocery shopping. After our shopping, while inside the lift, DS suddenly pointed to Giant logo in the lift poster and said the word “Giant”..Hmmm..wonder did DS recognized the Giant supermarket logo or the word itself??
Sat (28/02/09)
After DS afternoon nap, we decided to have dinner with BIL family at AMK coffeeshop. As DH niece have $30 worth of Crystal Jade voucher, we decided to stop by the outlet at Bishan to utilize the voucher before it expired. Ended up, we brought $30 worth of bread from there.. We drove BIL family back and at the same time, decided to have a friendly majong session (no $$ involved) before we went back at 12am in the morning.
Sun(01/03/09)
We spend our afternoon @ Downtown East & E-hub as I thought there were some performances there (ended up, it was a Malay concert). As usual, we had Mr. Chicken Rice for lunch and we happened to see Darren Lim (& his kids) and Mark Lee filming. We were lucky to find a place to eat before the filming started but the place was so crowded & noisy after that.. Since there was no performance to watch, we let DS had his kiddy train ride again and we roamed around the area till 5pm plus.

To the Library
Since DS was down with fever on Friday & Saturday, we could only stayed at home to rest. However, DS was well by Sunday so we decided to go to Northpoint for shopping as there is an extension to the existing shopping center. We walked around the new building and also stopped by the new library. The library was bright and spacious and I like the children area the best. Read a few books to DS there and also borrow 4books for DS (ended up, my bag was so heavy).
Roamed around the area for a while before asking DH to bring us to BottleTree Park for a walk. The park was quite small but packed with people as they were there for prawn fishing. DS wanted to go to the pond to catch fishes too but as he had just recovered from his fever, we decided that it will be best not to let him into the pond. DS also wanted to go to the playground to play but because of the heavy rain earlier on, all the slides are wet so DS could only sit on the swing. We didn’t stayed there for long as we need to go to PIL place for dinner. As DS did not have any nap earlier, he was so grouchy at PIL place and on our way back home, DS was already zzZZZ in the car..

Toilet Training – 16/02/09
Tried to let DS go ‘diaperless’ for about 2hours (8pm to 10pm) and during the 2hours, there were 2 ‘accidents’ and it was very tiring coz I have to kept asking DS whether he needs to pee and also kept bring him to the potty (that was why yesterday, I decided to take a break..hahaha). Think I still have a long way to go before I can officially let him go ‘diaperless’ during the day for his pee pee and poo poo “Gambatak”

V-Day mini celebration
Since DH & family will be coming over to our hse on Sat, we decided to have our V-Day dinner on Friday. We went to Mad Jack @ Jalan Kayu as there is a little play area for DS. We ordered nuggets & fries, mash potatoes for DS while I had black pepper chicken & cream of chicken soup. As for DH, he ordered Nasi Lemak but food was not as good as we had the previous time (they don’t even serve water there!) and DS was only interested in eating the fries. So I had a full but not delicious dinner. After dinner, its shopping time again (to burn off the calories) so off we went to Compass point again but most of the shops were about to close..Hmmm..waste a trip there.
Sun (15/02/09)
Woke up around 10plus and after DS have his milk and shower, we went to Suntec for our brunch. We decided to have Imperial Treasure to compensate for our lousy dinner on Friday. Me & Dh have noodles and for DS, we ordered rice with soup for him plus Xiao Long Bao..DS enjoyed his lunch so much that he actually sits down without much fuss and ate quite a big bowl of rice (Me and DH also get to enjoyed our meal too)..
After our lunch, we went over to JL @ Marina Square as there was some sales promotion (7% GST Rebate) going on. Brought a wok and also some stuff there and because we spent more than $60 bucks, we can also redeem a pack of 5kg rice.. Walked over to Suntec again for more shopping and this time DH got himself a new HP while DS got himself a Thomas & Friends train gate. DS only got his nap when we were on our way back to PIL place around 6pm plus…

Happy Valentine’s Day
3 more day to V-Day and that means DS is coming to 27mths. DS is slowly adapting to school (at least no more resistance) and he is making friends now. However, he is now much more naughty as I believed he have picked up some bad habits in school eg, likes to throw things around, pushing people etc. The good thing is that his language skill is better now, as he understand more and can express his thoughts better. Here’s his milestone till date
1) Understand the difference between big and small, long and short
2) Able to sing the two little dickie birds, Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Alphabet songs etc with lesser missing words and slightly clearer pronunciation.
3) Can points to the items in the picture and count. Able to recognized Alphabet A-D and also differentiate colours like green, red, yellow etc. But whenever you asked him for the object colour, his first answer will also be “green colour” ~faints~
4) When you asked him who does he love “Papa or Mama” he will answer “Papa & Mama” *so sweet*
5) When I wake up, he will ask me go and put on my ‘pack-t-cle’, which is actually “spectacle”
6) He now knows how to pose, hug people whenever he takes photos and he simply loves taking photos.
Well, now whenever we asked DS if he needs to pee, he will said yes and so I think he is ready to be toilet trained but it will means more mopping of the floor as I think the first few mths will definitely have lots of ‘accident’ plus DS drinks lots of water a day.. Hope he can be toilet trained soon, then I can save on his diapers…hahaha :)

Luo Hei – 01/02/09
Received a phone call from my family to ask us to go back for dinner (Nasi Lemak & Mee Siam) but DH wanted to watch the Chingay @ AMK instead so we decided that DS will followed me back to TPY while DH will go back to AMK and after the show was finished, DH will then come and picked us home. As DH was afraid of road closure at AMK, we decided to leave for TPY after our lunch. DH also followed us up and stayed to chat with my family.
DS of course was very happy to play with everyone plus he gets to eat lots of New Year goodies. While DS was playing, we decided to have an early dinner. The food was yummy even though its only a simple dish. As I have decided to follow DH back to AMK, we went on with our Luo Hei after our dinner. This is my 2nd time eating Yu Sheng this year, but for DH and DS, it was their first time. DS was excited throughout the whole process of tossing and shouting. He also joined in by kept on saying ‘Huat ar” and after we finished our tossing, DS actually used the chopstick to take a mouthful of Yu Sheng to eat. I am so surprised he knows how to use the chopstick to eat but I actually forgot to take photos of the Luo Hei process.
We left shortly after eating and DS fell asleep on our way back to PIL place. We were lucky to be able to still find a parking lot as we could see a lot of people at the tent opposite PIL house. After dinner, we all went down to watch the Getai first and around 9pm plus, the floats started to arrive. We were able to find a good spot but as we were very near to the lion dance troop, DS have to use 1 hand to cover his ear while the other hand happily waving to all the participants on the float. The floats even stopped for a while and we managed to take some pictures but I left my camera at PIL place so I can only take those pics with my hp and the quality was not that good. I managed to convince DH to rushed up to PIL place to grab my camera but when he returned, the floated started to move off, ended up not much photos was taken. We went up after the floats left but the guys stayed on to watch the Getai. Left PIL place at around 10pm plus and the floats have just arrived my area but as we have already seen the floats earlier on, we decided to head back home to rest. Happy Birthday to all on Ren Ri...Hope all of you have had a wonderful day :)

CNY
1st day – 26/01/09
Though DS slept quite late the day before, he was wide awake by 9am plus so we quickly gave him his milk but ended up, he vomited all out. So gave him some bread followed by his med for his flu and cough. We got ready and left the hse by 11am plus to visit PIL place. Reached there and there will already some guest at PIL place and shortly after we came, DH cousin etc started to come too and it was so crowded. DS was having so much fun that he refused to asleep till about 4pm plus and by the time we woke up around 6pm plus, we have to quickly rushed over to TPY as my relative was already there and as usual, we were the last to arrive and have our dinner. (But in our hurry to TPY, our car actually met with a small accident, which DH is now totally heart-broken).
While we were having dinner, my aunt and family decided to go back first and so I didn’t have time to actually chat with my cousin and play with her son :( After our dinner, they decided to have a game of majong but since my 2nd sis and family was not around, there was nobody to play cards so I could only watch those kiddos play. The majong session ended around 10pm and DH was lucky to win some $$…but our night didn’t ended so early as we still went to SIL place after that to sit around till 12am..
2nd day – 27/01/09
Since, there were no more visiting to be done, DS and I slept till past 12noon and all of us just laze around the house until we left for the River Ang Pow at around evening time...
3rd day – 28/01/09
Office was closed for a day so I am able to bring DS to school and find out how he was coping in class. Teacher told me that Jayden is ok in class and he have also adapted to school life. After DS went in the class, DH and I went to the foodcourt to have our brunch and later I went back to school to continue to 'peek' at DS while waiting for his class to end. Realised that DS didn't even pay attention in class as he kept walking here and there and that teacher have to keep calling his name.. Around evening time, we went to Compass point for our dinner and some shops were still closed for the holidays. Didn't shopped for very long time as I have to get ready for work the next day.

Reunion Dinner
Woke up early than usual to continue spring-cleaning the house, as we will be reunion dinner at PIL place later the day..DS woke up worse than yesterday, his flu was pretty bad that his nose was like running tap and he started to develop cough too..As usual, once he have cough, he will vomited out all his milk so its cleaning and more cleaning.
Managed to finish all my chores around 5pm but DS was still sleeping and we decided to let him sleep a while more as the medicine might have caused him to be drowsy. Decided to wake DS up at 6pm as BIL called to inform us that everybody is ready for the dinner. So we rushed down and soon it’s was dinner time. MIL cooked a table full of yummy food but DS was so cranky that he just refused to sit in his high chair and wanted DH to carry him. So I quickly have my dinner first and after that its my turn to look over DS..But once everybody finished their dinner, DS began to ‘warm’ up and started playing with his cousin. We started our ang pow exchange shortly and stayed at PIL place till 11pm plus…

Spring Cleaning
Decided to spend the day cleaning up the house since CNY is just a few days away. OMG…after a hard day of cleaning, my hands ached like anything that I really don’t feel like celebrating CNY anymore. Also, DS seemed to caught a cold..kept sneezing the whole day so we quickly fed DS some med hoping that he will be well before CNY.
Chinatown Trip
Finally, we managed to squeeze some time out and brought DS to Chinatown for a last minute shopping trip. We went over last Friday (23/01/09) at around 10pm plus with BIL & family. Somehow, the atmosphere is not as ‘happening’ as previous years and its so much ‘quieter’. Maybe it’s because we went there late or maybe its because of the economy downturn but I just couldn’t ‘soaked’ into the festive joy. Anyway, roamed around for a while before we went for supper and headed home at around 1am plus (my camera batt actually went flat when I reached there so couldn’t take much photos).. What a tired night for all of us.

CNY countdown..
DS still haven’t adapted to school life yet. Still very clingy to DH and now he even refused to wear his school uniform. As DH can’t accompany DS into the class, so no more updates from him regarding DS behavior but next week, I will go and talk to the teacher to find out how DS is coping in class.
In just a few days time, it will be CNY. Always love this festival as can get to eat good food, play cards, meet up with relatives etc.. How times flies, this will be the 3rd time DS celebrating this festival and of course he is too young to understand the custom (significant of receiving red packets, eating reunion dinner etc) but he’s sure going to have a fun time. I have already got DS a few sets of new clothes and I have also brought all the New Year goodies too. DH also helped to put up some deco around the hse and this weekend, I will spring cleaning the house. However, this year due to time constrained, we did not bring DS to Chinatown to soak in the atmosphere and see those lighting but I was thinking of bring him either to River Ang Pow or Sentosa Flowers 2009 during the third day of CNY since I am not working… Counting down to CNY!! Anyway, in case I don’t have time to blog again, here’s wishing everybody “Happy ‘Niu’ Year & Gong Xi Fa Cai” Have a good and prosperous year ahead (^o^)

1st week in school
That’s fast, DS have been going to school for about a week liao. Parents were finally asked to leave the classroom (After 3 days in class) to let the children settle in by themselves. DH told me that at first DS was still ok but when it was time to pick DS up, he was crying so badly that he was trembling (poor boy). Anyway, as some kids have been sick since the 1st day, DS caught the flu bug yesterday and was down with flu too. Gave him some med yesterday but will monitor him again and most probably will not let him go school today to prevent spreading of the bug.
Ever since, DS went to school (though its only about a week), I noticed that he seems to be more talkative and he really enjoy singing though some words pronunciation are not accurate and the lyrics it’s a bit here and there.. Also, we noticed that DS seems not very interested in craftwork and also the writing and colouring part. What he really enjoys is those singing session. I do hope that as time progress, he will show more interest in those areas such as writing and coloring and he will sees learning as a fun process to acquire knowledge.

1st lesson
I was on leave again on Monday (05/01/09) to accompany DS to school. He woke up around 9am plus so gave him his milk at 10plus. We actually wanted to shower him before his class but he refused so we just sponge bath him and changed him into his school uniform. As we were walking to school, we saw a few of his schoolmate who have just returned from their classes (1st session: 9am – 11am) and it was so cute to see them all dress in red. We were earlier than Friday so DS wanted DH to bring him to playground to play first.
Class started promptly at 11.15am and so off we went to classroom but before we could enter the class, DS need to wash his hand first which one auntie would help the children washed their hands. After everyone was in the class, the teacher started the lesson with a welcome song followed by the lesson theme that was things in red. DS was quite responsive in class but when the teacher gave them lego to play, he was still very ‘sticky’ to me and he just refused to sit and play with other kids but I managed to coax him to play and sit down till it was his time to do his colouring. He managed to do quite a fair bit of colouring (his first attempt at colouring) and of course, it was very messy but at least he managed to follow the teacher instruction. The rest of the lesson was spent singing songs and story telling time. Classes ended at 1pm and teacher gave all students an apple and a vcd to bring home.
