Aboard the ferry, DS was quite happy at first but maybe he woke up too early, he started to doze off half way through the 45mins journey. Finally reached Batam and DS was so cute..he saw those custom officer in uniform and he even salute to them. So after we got through the custom clearance, we boarded a bus to start our sight seeing tour.
First, we went over to a bridge that was supposing to be a landmark in Batam. Our tour guide allowed us to go down to take pics but the moment we got down the bus, we were swarmed by sellers trying to sell their wares. Ended up, we just brought a rattle toy for DS as he was fascinated by it. Just as we were happily taking pics, DS started to vomit and he dirtied his clothes. Brought him up the bus to rest but sad to sad, throughout the trip, he was still vomiting very badly (so didn’t have mood to take pics). Moreover, DH was having seasick too so couldn’t help much to take care of DS. So throughout the trip, me & DS were confined in the bus as others was happily eating, shopping etc.
Things got better in the evening, when we went to our last stop at a shopping mall. DS looked slightly better and was playing again. As I didn’t want to go home empty ended, decided to buy DS a pair of jeans and also a polo tee for myself. Remaining money was spent on Doughnuts, food and tips for the tour guide and bus driver. Soon, it was time for us to board the ferry back to home. The journey back was much worse and the sea was rough thus the ride was very bumpy. *Poor DS vomited again*
Overall, we didn’t enjoyed ourself at all (as the whole family ended up sick) and doctor said that DS have suffered from seasick thus kept vomiting. Think our next family trip will have to travel by air..*Hopefully soon*
